The chance to go to Maxfield Academy seems almost too good to be true for student Benson Fisher. But it is only after the gates have been locked behind him and it's too late that he realises it WAS too good to be true. All of the other students are just like him - no family, no one interested in where he is and how he's getting on. Like rats in a maze, Benson and the other students are going to have to work hard to survive.
This is a great story about how people behave under pressure and what they are prepared to do to survive. It is cleverly written and keeps you in the dark for a long time until you slowly work out the truth.
Who would enjoy this? If you enjoy puzzles that get you thinking outside the square, this book will keep you engrossed.
