Gutsy characters and the two very different settings (city and outback) make this distinctly Australian book a really great read. Friday Brown is the sort of person you'd really like to have with you in a fix, and it is her relationship with all of the other characters that pulls the plot together in a really interesting way.
Who would enjoy this? If you like a story with depth, an unpredictable plot and plenty of action, then this is the book for you.
